Furnishing one's living room can be difficult, as the space can be filled with a plethora of items, from couches to carpets, tables to televisions. Living rooms can be casual spaces occupied by family, as well as elegant areas designed for entertaining company.
Whatever the room's purpose, one piece of furniture that may often be forgotten is the end table. This small addition may seem insignificant, but it is invaluable when decorating a living room.
Unlike coffee tables and entertainment centers, end tables are rarely the centerpiece of the room. They are typically nestled next to couches, in corners or between club chairs. These small pieces of Amish furniture, however, can be quite useful.
End tables are ideal in homes that often entertain, both casually and formally, as family members and guests can safely place their drinks down as they chat with one another - balancing a beverage on the floor can lead to spills, and cups left on the coffee table may be knocked over if anyone decides to put their feet up.
These tables also offer additional storage, which is perfect for magazines, remote controls and other household accessories that often clutter a living room. Belongings can be neatly stored, and the room will remain tidy.
