Add charm to a yard with pieces of decorative Amish furniture

by Tom Grimes

Many homeowners opt to beautify their backyards with gardens, flowerbeds and landscaping, but those without green thumbs can spruce up their outdoor space as well, filling the space with pieces of Amish furniture.

While some items are purely decorative, other pieces are both aesthetically appealing and useful. An Amish made goat wagon replica, a reproduction of early German models, is charming and can be used to showcase flowers and other potted plants.

However, families with a large yard or driveway will also appreciate this piece of furniture, as the wagon is fully functional and can be used to bring firewood to the house, or carry trash to the curb.

Those without yards can utilize decorative outdoor furniture as well. Homeowners can line their front stairways with Amish made Dutch windmills, and passers by will appreciate the quaint models as they spin in the breeze.

Since these pieces of Amish furniture are made from wood and will be exposed to the elements, individuals should take a few precautions to ensure they last. While smaller items can be brought inside during stormy weather, homeowners may want to invest in furniture covers to protect larger pieces.ADNFCR-3308-ID-19914064-ADNFCR
