Amish New Style Adirondack Chair

The Green Wood Collection

A new take on an outdoor classic.

This Amish Adirondack Chair retains the traditional fanback of an Adirondack but also features a shallower seat that makes getting into and out of the chair a breeze! Choose from thermally modified pine and aromatic red cedar. Handcrafted with your chair's staying power in mind, both wood options are fastened with zinc-coated steel hardware for additional protection.

Thermally modified pine is less likely to rot, decay, splinter, and warp than other woods. This revolutionary treatment “cooks out” the sugars and water in the wood as it heated, steamed, and kiln-dried, collapsing the cell structure and eliminating any incentive for fungus and mold to grow. Aromatic red cedar wood is a favorite for outdoor use due to its longevity and insect-repelling qualities. It also boasts a lovely, distinct fragrance and rich grain that can vary from off-white to deep red.
