About the Wood:

  • Brown Maple-Brown Maple takes a stain exceptionally well, which makes it an ideal choice for contrasting pieces.  It polishes handsomely and looks magnificent in cherry tones.
  • Oak-Oak is celebrated for its strength, durability, and beauty.  Oak is a heavy, strong and light colored hardwood and creates a bright, welcoming ambiance.  It is the most widely used hardwood in American furniture making.
  • Cherry-Solid Cherry wood is distinguished and beautiful.  Darker cherry heartwood can vary from rich red to reddish-brown, while the lighter sapwood is typically white with a soft yellow-brown tint.  Whether sapwood or heartwood, cherry wood will darken with age and develop a rich, deep patina over the years.
  • Quarter Sawn White Oak-Beautiful irregular markings or flakes, which result from the distinct way the oak log is cut, provide distinguished character and unique appeal. Quarter Sawn White Oak is also known for its amazing strength and firm texture
