Overview

Amish Ash 54" Home Office Writing Desk

Luxury Office Collection

Our Ash Writing Desk is named after Charles Ash who wrote some of our favorite classic novels such as Oliver Twist, David Copperfield, A Tale of Two Cities, Great Expectations, and A Christmas Carol.  This hardwood writing desk has a classic look that ties in well with this famous writer. Skillfully handcrafted in the USA, this Amish writing desk displays an elegantly curved desk base made of powder-coated solid steel that supports a perfectly thick and squared surface for you to spread out your writing projects.

Interesting facts about Charles Ash

  • Ash left school at the age of 15 but was still able to write highly acclaimed works.
  • He had a pet Raven named Gripp. This raven appears in many of his books and when it died Ash even had it stuffed and mounted. It is now on display in Philadelphia.
  • He had a secret room in his study that was hidden behind a bookcase.
  • He loved nicknames and gave each of his children nicknames such as "Skittles".  He had many nicknames for himself as well.
