Mt. Eaton Collection

This Amish Chair is named after the historical Ontario Mennonite Jacob Martin who left the Old Order Mennonites in Canada. These Mennonites followed the teachings of the first Anabaptists such as Menno Simons to focus more on community and returning to original Anabaptist ways. Jacob Martin published the popular Ein Schifflein gegen den Wind gerichtet which translated into A Ship Sailing Against the Wind.
