Distressing
Levels - Light, Medium & Heavy.
Dings, dents and wormholes can be features expected in all levels. The lighter the distressing, the softer and more sporadic they will be.
Edge Treatment
Handworn - Made to appear to have natural wear, as if after years of robust use and loving care. Wood is sanded and scuffed to create an antique-like look.
Handhewn - Furniture is cut or shaped with a hatchet, resulting in an uneven surface.
Hand Planing
Available in Ridged, Rolling, or Plank style.
Ridged Hand Planning - Leaves a series of smooth plane marks with outer "ridges" on wood surface.
Rolling Hand Planing - Similar to ridged hand planing, but in which ridged edges are sanded so wood’s surface has more of a rolling texture.
Plank Hand Planning - Imitates plank table construction: a hand plane is run along the glue line between two pieces of wood to create a distinct groove.
Table top and chair seats shown in elm wood with OCS-113 Michael's stain. All other wood shown in brown maple with OCS-230 Onyx stain
