Create a practical and aesthetic centerpiece in a living room with an Amish entertainment center

by Tom Grimes

Homeowners looking to change the appearance of their living room may not know how to start, but interior designers Jean Wall and Joan Robinson-Whitaker recently shared some of their secrets with StarAdvertiser.com.

The pair works to transform specific rooms for clients in the span of a single day, without going over a tight budget and using most of the household's existing accessories.

They recently went to work on Kathy Fay's living room with this basic philosophy in mind, and preserved the existing tables, rug and sofa, while adding chairs, an additional rug, lamps and a piece of artwork to hang on the wall, the news source reports.

They also rearranged the furniture so that the area felt more open and the decorations could be fully appreciated.

"What appealed to me was that Jean and Joan use what you have, which worked for me from a functional point," Fay told the news provider. "I also had things that I really liked."

The furniture layout can be crucial when redesigning a room, and homeowners looking for new additions to a space should consider investing in pieces of Amish furniture like an Amish entertainment center, which can provide valuable storage functions and an appealing, traditional element to the room.
