Lights, Camera, Action! When the Performing Arts Center of Middlebury College needed tables and chairs for one of their performances, they looked for quality representative of one of America’s top liberal arts colleges. They found that quality in our solid wood products, handcrafted by Amish woodworkers.
Technical Director Allison Rimmer was looking for an authentic formal dining set for a play. She wanted something that was elegant and stately. We helped her to select the Queen Anne Rectangular Table, plus two Queen Anne Arm Chairs and six Queen Anne Side Chairs with Sarasota Natural fabric cushions. She wanted them all made from solid cherry wood and selected a red oak finish to bring out the beautiful reddish tones of the cherry. She ordered three self-storing extensions for the table, making it large enough to accommodate the eight chairs and adding to its splendor.
DutchCrafters provided her with the top-of-the-line solid wood dining room set she needed, accommodated her special requests without a problem, and coordinated the shipping around a snowstorm so that it could all be delivered without costing her a single day in lost production.
Middlebury College offers students a broad curriculum embracing the arts, humanities, literature, foreign languages, social sciences, and natural sciences. Middlebury provides an education that reflects a sense of looking outward, encouraging students to not only learn about themselves and their own traditions, but also to see beyond the bounds of class, culture, region, or nation.
The arts are a vibrant part of the Middlebury College community. Middlebury College seeks to provide an environment for the creation of art, inviting students to experience and participate in a variety of exciting performances and exhibitions.
We’re delighted to be a part of that mission.
