Finding the Perfect Desk
It was time for Laura to redo her home office to consolidate her home’s three desks into one desk and a file cabinet, and she knew what she needed: a Mission style L-desk with a hutch topper and matching file cabinet that all fit in her narrow office space.
“When I saw this desk online, I thought, ‘Oh, gosh, that’s a gorgeous desk. And then I began looking at the dimensions of it and I thought, oh my gosh, that’s a huge desk!'”
Customizing the Desk to Fit
Fortunately, when she called Julie at DutchCrafters, Julie had a solution: they simply customized the desk to remove the column of drawers from the left side of the desk. The desk ends in a perfectly-matching left panel and allows for plenty of space to walk through. The matching file cabinet behind her more than makes up for the drawers she removed.
Her desk was built in her favorite wood type, luxurious Cherry wood with a Michael’s Cherry stain…the tone and style a perfect match to the furniture and trim throughout her house.
