The Amish Amos Platform Bed has a simple yet very practical design! This Amish made bed comes standard with no headboard, but it does have under bed storage drawers! Store away clothing, shoes and other bedroom essentials in your drawers for a central location to find all of your items used on a weekly basis. Platform Beds such as this allow for the use of a mattress alone without a box spring!

Toekick Design

You may not consider it, but one of the primary downsides of the storage bed is the vertical wood that makes entering and exiting the bed more difficult. This bed's toekick design, which is rare among Amish beds, totally fixes that problem. This special feature allows for comfortable movement near the bed without stubbing your toes against the wood drawers! 

Storage Drawers

This heirloom quality bed comes standard with two drawers in the footboard for storage and two drawers on each side rail for storage! The drawer closest to the footboard on each side is a fake drawer front, giving you six total drawers for storage! Under bed storage drawers can save you space and money as you will not need as many bedroom case pieces to accompany your storage needs!

Without a Headboard or With Your Own? 

This product includes no headboard, which gives you two options for how to use this platform bed: Without a headboard OR with your own headboard.

1. Without a Headboard - This standard option will give you the bed shown in the primary product photo with a fully finished panel extending down to the floor at the headboard end. This ensures a small lip will stick up all the way around to keep your mattress in place. This is ideal if you'll use this bed without a headboard. 
2. With Sideboard Extensions for Headboard Attachment - Maybe you have a headboard at home that you want to use. Or maybe you want to buy a headboard from our collection of Bed Headboards to pair with the bed. With the Sideboard Extensions option selected, the bed will be built with sideboards that extend 4" beyond the platform on the headboard end. This allows you to use standard headboard attachments to the side rails. Please measure your headboard (or find its dimensions on our site) to make sure it will line up with these sideboard extensions (sideboard width listed below). We will include the lag bolts needed to attach!
