Amish Arrow-Back Deacon's Bench

Lancaster Collection

Our charming Deacon's bench is a practical bench that will suit every home or office decor. Solid wood throughout, the Arrow-Back Deacon's Bench is a classic that will be sure to impress friends and family. This Deacon's Bench will be an heirloom piece that is admired for generations.

Choose from solid oak or cherry wood for this Amish Bench.  If you would like to see wood finish samples, please call one of our helpful sales associates.

Please note that the three-foot bench is built without the center leg. The trend of "square backs" shifted to a wider top piece, hence the "slat back." The slat on this "slat back" is mortised into the post, with arrows between the seat and the slat.  It was an innovation from before 1820 and is still used today.
