Chimney cabinets have been around since the 1800s and still remain a popular item today in Amish furniture. Our sales staff often gets asked by customers what is a chimney cabinets? Traditionally chimney cabinets are tall and skinny cupboards that are placed next to fireplaces or in unused places of the home. They are traditional finished in a primitive painted style to fit in with Colonial furnishings.
Chimney cabinets are the perfect spot to hold books, office accessories, pet supplies, kitchen supplies or bathroom supplies. You can really use it for storing and organizing anything! The great thing about them is that no one sees the clutter as everything is hidden behind the wood doors. This Amish storage cabinet comes with three adjustable shelves.

Heavy Distressing is an extensive amount of hand distressing to the furniture. There may be heavy pin holes, indentations and nicks, rasp markings and worm holes. The edges of the furniture are heavily worn. Simulated cracks are created on our heavily distressed package. You can notify your Amish furniture specialists if you prefer not to have the simulated cracks in the furniture.
