The Multi-Wood Construction Option:

18th century Windsor chairs incorporated the use of three or more wood types to withstand stresses on different parts of the chair while satisfying the body of its design. Woods were selected for their structural qualities to provide the right strength, shape and support in the chair. Our Multi-Wood Construction Option replicates the method used to construct Windsor Chairs hundreds of years ago.

Select this option for a Windsor chair built with poplar in the seat, hickory for the bow of the chair and brown maple wood for the spindles and stretchers. The use of these different woods creates strong, lightweight, proportioned chairs that last for decades.

How to Order Your Windsor Chairs

Whether the furniture is for your home or business the order process is basically the same.  You can order online using our safe and secure check out or you can call to speak to one of our friendly sales associates at 1-866-272-6773.  Our Amish furniture specialists will work with you to help you decide on the chair style, wood and finish to create the perfect furniture custom made just for you.

If you are a business and are looking to purchase for a commercial location we are happy to work up a volume discount or trade discount for you.  You can read more on our page that is dedicated to Trade Sales information.

How Long Does it take to Receive the Windsor Chairs?

Most of our Amish furniture is handcrafted for each customer therefore it does take time to receive.  We build our furniture this way so that our customers can customize the wood and finish.  We could keep furniture in stock but then you wouldn’t be able to create that perfect piece that you have been dreaming about.  The furniture then ships right from the Old Order Amish woodworkers shop to your home or business.

Are you needing the furniture quickly or need to meet a deadline?  If so, then give us a call and we will try our best to rush the furniture.  Please note there may be additional rush furniture charges.

Quality Takes Time – Typical Build Time for This Piece is 8 to 10 weeks.
*Please allow additional time for complex finishes, upholstered items, and delivery.
