JMX Brands sister company Dutchcrafters Amish Furniture has been recognized as a Best Online Shop of 2021 by Newsweek. The list released at the end of September ranked dutchcrafters.com No. 32 out of 50 in the category of Home Living – Furniture with the likes of better-known online furniture retailers including Wayfair, Crate and Barrel, Ashley Furniture, World Market, and Rooms To Go.

Founded in 2003 by Jim and Linse Miller after they struggled to find quality, real wood furniture for their home, DutchCrafters is the largest online retailer of Amish furniture with more than 15,000 solid wood furniture and home décor pieces made-to-order in the heart of America. The company opened its first brick-and-mortar location in its home city of Sarasota, Fla. in 2016 and a warehouse in LaGrange, Ind. in 2019 where it also plans to open an outlet store this year.

To compile the annual ranking, Newsweek partners with respected global data firm Statista to determine which 1,000 shops across 39 categories are the best American online shops. The weekly magazine ultimately determines the companies that make the list after each passes a number of tests, including an online survey panel of more than 8,000 American online shoppers, based on 51 subjective and objective criteria on seven dimensions: website structure and usability; trust and security; service and communication; payment, purchase and delivery; technical performance; and likelihood of purchase.

To land on the list, dutchcrafters.com received a score of 7.84 out of 10, tying it with mattress brand Casper and between Serena and Lily and Kirkland’s, respectively.

DutchCrafters CEO Jim Miller said that being included on the list is a big deal for the small business. “Many other companies in the furniture category are bigger and better known than we are, so we felt privileged to be recognized alongside them,” he said. “This is affirmation of the incredible value we deliver to our customers in the form of excellent quality of furniture, a high commitment to customer experience, and our recognized leadership within the Amish made furniture niche.”
