Three Students to Receive Financial Assistance from the Amish Furniture Retailer

Sarasota, FL, February 27, 2014- Since 2011, web-based DutchCrafters Amish Furniture (parent company: JMX Brands) has offered three $500 scholarships to deserving candidates across the country, in an effort to recognize and support students who plan to use their heritage to bring creativity and value to their vocational aspirations. Jim Miller, CEO of DutchCrafters, explains:

“In 2003, the words “Amish” and “Internet” were downright incompatible – two entirely separate worlds. When I put my heritage in the Amish community together with the innovations happening online, I founded DutchCrafters, and we’re now the world’s largest Internet retailer of Amish furniture.”

Applications for the scholarship, including a 750-word essay and statement of financial need, will be accepted until May 1, 2014. Undergraduate students interested in the scholarship should visit the scholarship page of DutchCrafters’ website, or the DutchCrafters Facebook page for more information. Winners will be announced on July 1, 2014.
