JMX Brands Director of Marketing Debra Gingerich received the company’s President’s Award during the specialty retailer’s annual awards ceremony on January 20, 2021. This was the second time she received the prestigious award in four years.

A graduate of Eastern Mennonite University with a master’s degree from Vermont College, Gingerich was the first employee JMX Brands hired, working as writer and communications manager from 2004-2006. She returned to the Sarasota-based company in 2015 to manage the Content, Communications and Marketing Team. Gingerich was promoted to her role as director of marketing in 2018, where she has used her extensive experience in marketing and storytelling to promote the company’s brands. Throughout her time at JMX Brands, she has been consistent and dedicated to the company’s success.

One recent contribution Gingerich made was spearheading Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for the company’s flagship Amish furniture website www.dutchcrafters.com. Thanks to her persistence and creativity in SEO, the site saw an increase of 184 percent in organic traffic. The success of the company’s SEO endeavors have had a direct correlation to revenue growth. JMX Brands experienced record sales months in 2020 finishing the year with a 54 percent increase.

At the awards ceremony, JMX Brands CEO Jim Miller recognized Gingerich’s efforts and their impact on the company’s exceptional year.

“For me, 2020 was about the effect of 18 long months of organic recovery which is the result of Debra’s leadership,” said Miller. “Thank you, Debra, for your persistence over the long haul.  We owe a debt of gratitude and appreciation to you for leading us out of that plateau and back into the light of growth.”

The JMX Brands President’s Award is an annual award recognizing one employee for excellence in work and game-changing contributions. For her notable achievements, Miller presented Gingerich with a plaque and monetary bonus.
