JMX Brands, the parent company of the largest internet retailer of Amish furniture at www.dutchrafters.com, won 2021 Medium Business of the Year at the Small Business Awards put on by the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce.

The 31^st annual Frank G. Berlin, Sr. Small Business Awards ceremony took place at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Sarasota where nearly 600 people gathered to celebrate the 24 businesses in the running for an award. 

This was not the first time for JMX Brands CEO Jim Miller to receive an award at this event. DutchCrafters, the flagship store of the Sarasota-based niche ecommerce retailer, was named the Retail Business of the Year by the Sarasota Chamber in 2017. 

Though JMX Brands is the parent company, it is the DutchCrafters brand that interacts daily with people in the community where they live and work.  The company opened its first brick-and-mortar retail store in 2015 at 3709 Lockwood Ridge Road, Sarasota, Fla. and the outlet store opened in Indiana earlier this year at 1439 Industrial Drive, LaGrange, Ind. 

The Medium Business of the Year award celebrates the highest performing company in the Sarasota region with 25-150 employees that have been in business for at least three years. Presenting the award for the medium business category was Allison Imre of Grapevine Communications. In the presentation, she stated that the panel of judges deemed JMX Brands the 2021 Medium Business of the Year not only for its growth, but also for the commitment its staff demonstrated to giving back to the community.

Miller gives credit to his team of 65 employees for winning this award and says it is a shared success among the entire staff.  Accompanying Miller at the ceremony was a group of nine members of JMX Brands management and staff. 

“We would not be here without the dedication and energy they bring to work each day,” said Miller. “It is an honor to be recognized by the Sarasota Chamber, and this award is a testament to the hard work and adaptability our team has displayed this past year.”
