Amish lingerie chests make the most of small spaces

by Tom Grimes

Those who have amassed an extensive collection of lingerie may already know that finding an appropriate place for these pieces can be a difficult task. Bureaus can sometimes be cluttered with other clothes or may be clunky additions to a small dressing room.

If one is having a difficult time untangling lingerie from socks or pushing past the sharp corners of a wardrobe, it may be time to try and downsize with a graceful storage solution provided by pieces of Amish bedroom furniture.

Amish lingerie chests are available in a number of different styles. The Victoria's tradition lingerie chest boasts six solid wood drawers and can be carved from brown maple, oak, cheery or quarter sawn oak. One can choose from six different finishes, so that this item can be a graceful cornerpiece in any space.

For a quirkier piece, homeowners may instead choose the pine wood hand painted lingerie chest with nautical decor. This item boasts a soothing blue hue with the relaxing painting of a sailboat and a coastline, making it optimal for a beach house.
