How to decide on a hardwood and finish?
Choosing a wood and finish is probably your most important decision on your new furniture. If you are not matching your wood and finish to existing dining room furniture then you should be sure to order our wood finish samples to help you with this decision. We use the finest American harvest hardwoods and finishes available guaranteeing heirloom furniture. This Trestle Table is shown in Quarter Sawn White Oak wood but you also have the option of choosing Red Oak, Cherry, Hard Maple, Hickory, Brown Maple, Rustic Cherry, Grey Elm or Walnut wood. All hardwoods have different grain patterns which can create a difference in color. These are what add to the beauty and charm of the wood and are not considered defects. Because of this the samples that you receive may have slight differences in color from your table when it arrives. Be sure that when you new hardwood table arrives that you take care to maintain a humidity controlled home or business to prevent cracking or warping that can occur with wood tables.
This woodworker offers a two year warranty on his dining tables as long as the humidity level is at 40 % or 50%. The table also has to not be in direct sunlight or near a heater. This warranty doesn't cover normal wear and tear or misuse by customers.
