A Simple and Classic Design

This Amish Leora Pencil Post Bed is simple, sleek and sturdy with a headboard and footboard that show off the solid wood grain and nicely carved pencil posts on each corner. Brass plated medallions and simple finial on the posts are an added touch to this bed.

This Amish Pencil Post Bed is available in oak wood, cherry wood, or maple wood and is handcrafted by experienced woodworkers in Lancaster, PA. Choose from a variety of finish options to complete the look. After an order is placed we send out samples to confirm your selection.  If you order online, expect to receive these within 1 week after your order was placed.  We also offer custom stain matching.

Mortise and tenon construction is used on our Early American style beds for added strength. The rails are bolted together with a through bolt and barrel nut. Each bed has five slats of which two have center supports on the queen and king beds. On all King and queen beds there will be 5 slats / 2 with props. 2 slat supports are needed to meet the mattress manufacturers warranty requirements. They simply attach to the bottom of the slats.
