What are Mid-Century Modern Dining Tables?

At DutchCrafters, we have over 50 Mid-Century Modern dining tables to choose from! Mid-Century Modern (MCM) dining tables are among the most popular Amish-made dining table selections in existence. Mid-Century style tables emerged postwar and represented a shift in style as America looked toward the horizon with a new hope. Formerly popular styles were ornate, large, and extravagant. As a result of a new sense of optimism and a newfound manufacturing efficiency discovered during the war, the Mid-Century Modern dining table style emerged, along with other lines of MCM furniture.

Why Amish MCM Dining Tables?

Mid-Century Modern tables offer a sleek, efficient style. Some refer to the style as "boomerang shaped." One thing that separates Amish-made MCM dining tables from the rest is the fact that ours are handcrafted out of solid wood. Many other mid-century modern tables are made with particleboard and MDF to keep costs to a bare minimum (you get what you pay for) or because the rounded designs are easier to mass manufacture when made of cheap materials.
