Contemporary Open Desk with X Base

Give your workspace a stronger point of view with the Amish Hillsview Contemporary Open Desk. Its clean silhouette, substantial hardwood top, and bold X-shaped steel base create a desk that feels modern without losing the warmth and character of handcrafted furniture. It is an ideal choice for a home office, creative studio, or professional workspace where you want function and design to carry equal weight.

The open metal base is what gives the Hillsview its distinctive personality. Finished in a textured black powder coat, the intersecting steel supports create sharp architectural lines while keeping the desk visually light. Because there are no bulky pedestals or enclosed sides, the room feels more open, and there is plenty of legroom for a comfortable chair. The contrast between the dark steel and the 1 1/2-inch-thick solid wood top gives the desk a refined industrial look that also works beautifully in transitional interiors.

The broad hardwood surface provides room for a laptop, monitor, paperwork, and the personal details that make an office feel inviting. Choose a wood such as oak or brown maple to complement your décor and highlight the natural grain. Each desk is handcrafted in Indiana by skilled Amish woodworkers, bringing careful construction and long-term durability to a design that feels fresh and current.

Add the optional file cabinet when you need concealed storage for documents, supplies or technology accessories. The separate cabinet lets you keep the airy, open look of the desk while adding organization exactly where it is needed. Whether you are building a focused work-from-home setup, a stylish executive office, or a flexible space for hobbies and planning, the Hillsview creates a workspace that feels purposeful, polished, and enjoyable to use.
