Overview

Amish Rustic Hickory Twig Hoop Rocking Chair

Blue Mountain Hickory Collection

Our Amish Rustic Hickory Twig Hoop Rocking Chair is an exceptional piece for the living room or bedroom. With many finish options, upholstery options, and the natural hickory branch construction, you are ensured that no two rocking chairs will be alike.

You have the choice of two premium hardwoods for your rocker base and many finish options. This hickory twig loop rocking chair will add a splash of rustic charm to your living room or bedroom.

The arched barrel shaped back on our Amish Hoop Chair Rocker is achieved by steam bending the old hickory sapling wood. The natural bark is still intact to create a rustic look that our customers love.  This Hoop Rocker is proudly made in the USA by an Old Order Amish woodworker.

The hickory sapling wood is harvested only in the winter from a hickory forest in Alabama.  The wood is then delivered to our Amish woodworkers shop in Indiana.  If the wood is harvest other times of the year such as the spring then the bark would start to separate.  After our woodworkers receive the harvested hickory they then steam it to ensure that any bugs or insects are no longer in the wood.

If you have any questions please submit an inquiry to our "ask a question" wizard. Our Amish furniture specialists are happy to answer questions, send out finish samples, or assist you with placing an order.
