Amish Taper Contemporary Made-to-Order Open Desk

Create a workspace that feels open, modern, and beautifully uncluttered with the Amish Taper Contemporary Open Desk. Its bold angled sides give the desk a sculptural silhouette, while the long solid wood top provides a warm, inviting place to work, write, study, or create.

The design draws inspiration from clean architectural lines. Broad tapered side panels angle outward beneath the desktop, giving the desk a distinctive contemporary presence without making it feel heavy. An open center keeps the profile light and provides generous legroom, while the horizontal support adds visual balance and dependable strength.

At 64 inches wide, the Taper Desk offers plenty of room for a laptop, monitor, paperwork, and everyday office essentials. A discreet pencil drawer is built beneath the desktop, keeping pens, chargers, notebooks, and smaller supplies close at hand without interrupting the desk’s streamlined appearance. The beveled edge adds a refined finishing detail that highlights the thickness and natural beauty of the hardwood top.

Each desk is made to order by skilled Amish craftspeople using solid hardwood. Choose from oak, brown maple, cherry, rustic cherry, quarter-sawn white oak, and other available wood options, then select the finish and hardware that best suit your room. Optional drawer slides allow you to further personalize the way your desk functions.

The Amish Taper Desk works beautifully in a modern home office, executive workspace, bedroom, study, or creative studio. Its clean lines make it easy to pair with contemporary décor, while its handcrafted solid wood construction gives it the durability and character that mass-produced office furniture cannot match.
