The Hartland is made with reclaimed oak wood that comes from barns, some a century old. The wood is cleaned and kiln dried, then crafted into unique solid wood furniture. No two pieces will have the same sun spots, knot holes and markings that it earned from its years as part of a country landscape. 

While some like all the ruggedness of each nail hole and worm hole, others prefer the look of reclaimed wood with a smooth finish. This can be achieved by having the nail holes filled with epoxy. There's still plenty of barn wood appeal with a smoother look.
