What Process is Used? 

As you can imagine, there is quite a process in place to create the magnificent pieces of barn wood furniture you see in many homes today. From old homesteads and farms in Ohio, most of the wood is 200-300 years old! The pieces are cleaned and undergo a kiln-drying process to ensure any remaining insects or bugs are exterminated, and the lumber is run under a metal detector twice to make sure all remaining metal pieces and nails are removed. High attention to detail is used to ensure the safety and authenticity of your barn wood furniture.
