A beautiful headboard can change the entire character of a bedroom. The Amish Alex Craftsman Headboard does exactly that, pairing the warmth and substance of hardwood with an unexpected open detail that keeps the design from feeling too heavy.   The upper portion of the headboard is the defining feature. Two rectangular openings sit beneath a substantial horizontal cap, creating negative space above the broad solid wood panels. That simple detail adds visual height to the headboard while allowing the wall behind the bed to become part of the composition.   Below the openings, expansive hardwood panels showcase the natural variation and grain of real wood. Straight posts and strong horizontal lines add unmistakable Craftsman influence, while the absence of elaborate carving keeps the design relaxed and versatile. There is a hint of Mission and rustic character here as well, making the Alex a natural fit for interiors built around authentic materials and understated design.   The open headboard also creates an interesting backdrop for bedding. Layer crisp neutral linens for a cleaner, updated bedroom, or bring in quilts, wool throws, woven textures, and deeper colors to emphasize the bed's warmer Craftsman character. The design gives you room to change the bedroom's personality without changing the furniture.   Made to order by skilled Amish woodworkers, the headboard lets the beauty of your selected hardwood and finish become part of the final design. Rather than covering the wood beneath unnecessary decoration, the bed celebrates what makes solid hardwood distinctive in the first place.   Create an Alex Bed that feels at home in your space.
