The Berlin Office Collection is built in Apple Creek, Ohio in a woodshop that was founded in 1998. The owner first worked in a furniture factory, working his way up to foreman of the occasional furniture department. He invested time learning about wood and worked as a lumber grader at a local sawmill for one year. He spent years learning about furniture including building and production, all in preparation to start his own business in 1998.
As he started his own woodshop, he was first interested in building case goods, then moved onto building office furniture and entertainment centers. His collection continued to grow with the addition of seating and solid wood accent tables in 2007.
The owner of this shop runs one of the larger woodshops in Ohio, working out of an 18,000 square foot shop with 20 employees, all devoted to crafting quality wood furniture that will remain in homes for generations. The craftsmen enjoy working with oak, cherry and maple wood, ( https://www.dutchcrafters.com/blog/meet-the-maples-facts-about-brown-maple/ ), and they purchase the bulk of it from local suppliers.
The craftsmanship focuses on function and durability, with time put into building furniture of high quality that will last.
