For a reference on shed sizing:

• Small sheds tend to run 8'x12' or 10'x12.
• Medium sheds tend to be 10'x16' or 12'x16'.
• Large sheds are typically 12'x20' and larger. 

What Size Shed Do I Need?

If you have a small backyard or are simply looking for a space to store your tools and garden equipment, then a small storage shed would fit your needs. If you would like a space to store your lawn mower, a riding mower, or other larger tools, then a medium storage shed might fit your needs. If you are looking for a space to store nearly anything, such as a bike or motorcycle, or even to set up as work shop or work space, then a large storage shed is right for you.
