The Amish Pressback Dining Room Chair has a beautifully detailed pressed back design. The design is not hand carved into each chair but crafted onto a press and pressed into the back of the chair. It gives the chair a classic decorative design that will draw some eyeballs away from phone screens at the dinner table. This wood dining chair is reinforced with a double-stretcher base, and a backrest that is wedged, glued, and screwed through the seat to premium stability and strength.

I ordered 8 beautiful pressed back chairs which meet all my expectations. The wood grain is lovely, the satin finish is pleasing to the eye. The legs, spindles and rungs are decoratively turned and sturdy. The pressed back carvings are deep, crisp and highly detailed. I’m very satisfied with these chairs which will be a substantial gift to hand down to our children.
