Hillview Chair Collection
The Hillview Collection
About the Hillview Chair Collection:
Our superior collection of Hillview dining room chairs are proudly Amish-handcrafted in America from only the finest premium solid hardwoods. These Amish woodworkers of the Hillview Chair Collection craft dining room chairs in a wide variety of styles. Styles include but aren't limited to the humble Shaker style, the warm and balanced Mission style, the graceful and elegant Queen Anne style, the charming French Country style and the cozy and homey American Country style. Our Amish dining room chairs are handcrafted and designed to last a lifetime.
Where some manufacturers attempt to disguise cheap veneers as hardwoods and assemble with staples and inferior glues, the craftsmen of the Hillview Chair Collection use only authentic 100% premium North American hardwoods throughout. They glue AND screw all legs to the seat, and all back protrude through the seat and are wedged, glued, and screwed for optimal strength and stability.
Hillview Dining Chair Features:
The Hillview Chair Collection offers one of the most extensive and quality selections of dining room chairs, office chairs, benches and barstools available. Each and every chair and bench they produce is proudly made in America - in a small town in Ohio where Amish furniture artisans have long practised the art of heirloom furniture hand-craftsmanship. Over a dozen Amish woodworkers boast centuries of experience and have an exhausting dedication to detail to ensure the highest quality handcrafted dining room chairs anywhere.
Hardwoods from Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania are sculpted with the utmost precision and each spindle, leg, dowel and part. Each chair is then stringently inspected upon completion. All of the Hillview Collection products are hand-sanded; thoroughly stained (even under the seat); and finished with a hardened catalyst finish that provides maximum protection.
While the Country style chair in oak has proven to be most popular, the Hillview Amish woodworkers are always introducing a new style, or detail to a style, that sets them apart. Ask a woodworker about his acorn-pressed-back country chair, and he’ll tell you the acorn is turned up (rather than down like most others), because that’s how the acorn grows on the tree. Send him a picture of the chair or bench of your dreams, and he will get to work on creating it.
Rigorous inspections and attention to details blend with heartfelt discipline to a fading art form make the Hillview Collection a trusted name in heirloom Amish dining chairs.
Hillview Chair Collection Finish Options:
These heirloom hardwood dining chairs of the Hillview Chair Collection are available in a variety of stains to match your décor and finished with a catalyzed lacquer for extra protection. The Choose Finish option allows you to view the stains and select your favorite. You can also request wood stain samples if you are unable to make up your mind.
Distressed, spider webbing, and primitive or regular paint is also available for an additional cost.
Distressed paint finishes are hand rubbed to simulate years of wear. Upon request we can distress with worm holes, ding, simulated cracks and spoke-shaved corners. This is not a standard feature of our distressed look. If no distress is selected the chair will be painted without any distressing at all.
Only painted cherry and maple give the look presented on the sample paint chips. Oak wood allows the grain pattern to distinctly show through the paint finish. Samples of this are available upon request. Other paint or stain colors may be also available. Please call to discuss finishing with a furniture specialist.
We can accommodate a variety of Two Tone Paint and/or stain options as well. If this option is selected upon order, you will be contact by a sales representative to determine your desired combination.
Hillview Chair Collection - Delivered with Care:
The Amish handcrafted chairs in our Hillview Chair Collection are handcrafted and stained after your order is placed. Normally this takes about 6-8 weeks to complete. Shipping can take anywhere from 1-2 weeks following that. Our chairs are shipped with carefully selected companies that we have worked with over the years. These companies score high on their customer service and their care of the fine furniture they handle. They either blanket-wrap the furniture or shrink wrap and box it. In either case, the furniture is fully protected and insured.
Please read the shipping information on our Terms & Conditions page for details on the delivery of our solid wood furniture. Our standard delivery is “curbside", meaning the driver isn't responsible to take the furniture into your home. Generally there is only one driver, and he will require your help unloading your heirloom furniture.
Chairs from our Hillview Chair Collection ship from Ohio.
