Overview
Rough Sawn furniture captures the rustic aged appeal of reclaimed barnwood furniture without the imperfections and design limitations. When crafting with reclaimed barnwood furniture, the craftsman is limited to the types of lumber that have been sourced. This means that designs with intricate details may not be possible. Rough sawn is a type of distressing that is performed when the lumber is being processed. The rough saw marks are preserved to give a unique textured appeal. This texturing provides an aged feel that suits the farmhouse styling perfectly.
The Dutton End Table utilizes rough sawn brown maple wood to produce a rustic feel. The design of this versatile end table is inspired by mission-style furniture. The use of mortise and tenon joinery is visible with the Dutton's exposed tenons on each leg. Mortise and tenon joinery provides a seamless connection that is reinforced as one. 3 Mission-style slats are proudly displayed on each side of the Dutton end table.
The Perfect Size
The Dutton is available in two sizes. The 16" wide option is perfect for resting next to your favorite seat in the house. The larger 22" model offers plenty of space for lighting or other living room accents. The lower shelf is perfect for storing magazines or books for easy reading access.
