Light Options
Standard Light
All lighthouses come with a standard light at no extra charge. When the lighthouse is plugged in, the light is on. It is the best option for a lighthouse that will be in close proximity to living areas (to minimize distraction that a revolving light could present). The standard light uses a 25 watt bulb.
Solar Light
The solar light allows you to set your lighthouse virtually anywhere in the sun - no need for wires at all, which will save you from tearing up your yard or paying for expensive installation of electricity to remote places. This is one of the most popular options for our lighthouses! Another benefit to the solar light as that you pay for it once and forget about it - it doesn't add on to your electric bill, and is also environmentally friendly.
There are 8 LED bulbs, which equals approximately 4 watts. Included with this light is a switch to choose a revolving light, or a steady light that is always on during the night. Additionally, since it is powered by a small solar panel on the roof of the lighthouse, it automatically turns on at dusk and turns off at dawn.
Revolving Light
The revolving light is a very popular option for those who want to most accurately simulate the effect of many real lighthouses. The revolving light operates by a small motor and system of mirrors to give it a beacon effect. It is a wonderful choice if you’re looking for an authentic replication of a lighthouse and are placing your lighthouse in a remote area where power is available. This light uses a 120V, 4 watt bulb. It revolves at a rate of 36rpm (revolutions per minute) or once every 1 and a half seconds.
Extra Large Revolving Light
This option is available only for the 8 and 12 foot lighthouses. It uses a 120V, 35 watt halogen bulb. The light revolves at a rate of 13rpm (revolutions per minute) or once every 4 and a half seconds.
Interior Lighting in Tower Windows
For lighthouses 3' and above, there are windows and a door on the tower of your lighthouse. These lighthouses are available with lighting to look more like the replica lighthouse it was created after. You may choose from a standard light or solar light for the interior light.
Dusk to Dawn Sensor
Don't want to use a timer or manually turn your lighthouse on? We have the perfect solution - add a dusk to dawn sensor to your light option! The sensor comes automatically with the solar light option, but is available as an add-on for any other light options.
