You’ve found a large collection rich with solid pine wood furniture. The Country Cottage Furniture Collection offers pine furniture full of storage, support and cozy cottage style. The makers of this collection have been crafting pine creations at their woodshop in Pennsylvania since 1999. The owner of this woodshop has always loved antique furniture and working with wood, and he chose to build primitive and farmhouse style furniture because of its cozy appeal and the warmth it creates. This Amish craftsman built a family business based on authentic products and lots of hard work. The pine furniture is built in a 14,000 square foot woodshop that employs 12 woodworkers. They love using pine wood because it’s easy to work with, has a unique character, and showcases beautiful finishes.
In this collection you can find pine wood furniture for every room in the house, from welcoming kitchen islands to cute cottage nightstands to beautiful dining tables.
The Country Cottage Furniture Collection offers an exceptional variety of finishes for pine furniture. You can easily achieve an antique look and feel because they specialize in distressing and antique finishes. Woodworkers employ long-practiced techniques of hand brushing and hand rubbing to create these finishes.
Pine Furniture Strength
Does pine wood make good furniture? You bet it does. The makers of this collection use Eastern white pine wood that is soft yet durable and offers a smooth grain that makes it ideal for a stained, painted or distressed finish. Pine offers a good deal of stiffness, strength and shock resistance. It also resists shrinking and swelling, so it will maintain its shape better as the years go by.
